Employees and society

We take our responsibility as an employer and towards society very seriously. Our human resources policy, which is specifically geared towards sustainability, sets out the most important building blocks for the Bank's future viability. These are the foundation for our economic success and the basis for the high satisfaction of our employees.
The most important goals of our commitment to employees and society
- Helping employees to unlock their potential
- Keeping an eye on the health of employees
- Contributing to a balance between work and family life
The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
BayernLB's sustainable orientation means that it contributes to a number of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals from Agenda 2030. Agenda 2030 is a global plan to promote sustainable peace and prosperity and protect our planet. It comprises a total of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We focus on the following Sustainable Development Goals:
- Ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
- Achieve gender equality and empowering all women and girls
- Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
BayernLB employees are committed to the community
Our employees are involved in a wide range of initiatives, whether in kindergartens, vocational orientation in schools or support for disadvantaged young people. They are an important, supporting pillar of our corporate citizenship. We actively support them in this, for example through our corporate volunteering program. Our donations go to Sternstunden, a charity that helps children who are seriously ill, disabled or otherwise in need.
