Debt Issuance Programme

EUR 60,000,000,000 Debt Issuance Programme

The EUR 60,000,000,000 Debt Issuance Programme is the EMTN issuance programme of Bayerische Landesbank for the issue of non-equity securities and Pfandbriefe (covered bonds). It is documented in a base prospectus (the "DIP Prospectus") containing information about Bayerische Landesbank and the notes that can be issued under the programme. Financial information regarding Bayerische Landesbank is incorporated in the DIP Prospectus by reference. The DIP Prospectus may be supplemented from time to time.

The competent authority for the approval of the DIP Prospectus of Bayerische Landesbank is the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, Luxembourg (the "CSSF"). The CSSF has provided the competent authorities in the Federal Republic of Germany, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in the Republic of Austria, in The Netherlands and in the Republic of Ireland with a certificate of approval attesting that the DIP Prospectus has been drawn up in accordance with the Luxembourg law which transforms the EU-Prospectus Directive into national law ("Notification"). BayernLB may opt at any time for notification of its DIP Prospectus in other member states of the European Economic Area.

The Final Terms of all issues under the DIP Prospectus as from 25 July 2005 listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange are published on the website of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The Final Terms of all other issues under the DIP Prospectus as from 25 July 2005 (other than private placements issued under an exemption from the obligation to publish a prospectus) can be viewed here
