Energy from the sun with Apollo

BayernLB helps fund Encavis AG’s “Apollo” PV portfolio in Italy

BayernLB is teaming up with ABN Amro, Société Générale and Bankinter to finance a EUR 88 million photovoltaic portfolio in Italy for its customer Encavis AG. The portfolio comprises 21 solar parks, all of which are on the grid, generating a cumulative output of 41.7 MW. Twelve of the parks are located in northern Italy (in Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany), with six in the central regions of Abbruzzo, Marche and Umbria and the remaining three down south in Apulia. The parks have been in operation since 2011 and are subsidised under Italy’s Conto Energia feed-in tariff programme.

Encavis AG is an SDAX-listed producer of renewable energy and one of BayernLB’s top customers. A leading, independent contender in its field, the German company acquires and operates solar and wind parks throughout Europe. The sustainable-energy-producing power plants also generate stable returns thanks to state-guaranteed feed-in tariffs and long-term offtake agreements.
