At Joblinge, business, government and private individuals work together to give a helping hand to young people facing difficulties entering the world of work. At 30 locations around Germany, the project creates real job opportunities for Germans, migrants and refugees. Joblinge integrates them permanently into the labour market with just the right qualification and extensive counselling, including by volunteer mentors. It’s a success story: seven out of ten Joblinge enter the workforce.
We have been an official corporate partner of Joblinge gAG München since 2012 and support the initiative by paying for scholarships to qualify unemployed young people for an apprenticeship or job. Through our Corporate Volunteering program BayernLB employees are able to act as volunteer mentors for the young people.
Dr Edgar Zoller, deputy CEO of BayernLB, stresses the importance of this commitment: “We feel that supporting children and young people in need is part of our social responsibility. Through our active and financial support for the project, we can offer young people a perspective: the hope of a successful future.”
